They Did The Monster Mash

October 25, 2009

So, our Halloween Party was a success!

I was a school girl (hardeharhar)

Our fridge was stocked…

Woodchuck Granny Smith Draft Cider

Some people brought other types of beer and my friend, Dana, brought a whole box of liquor

I ate more junk food last night than I’ve had in the last four months (oops)

Best. Pizza. Ever.

Best. Pizza. Ever.

Chips & Sweets:

  • Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Chips with Apple Butter for dipping
  • French Onion SunChips
  • Newman’s Own Organics Mini Pretzels
  • Mini Reese’s PB Cups
  • Peanut M&Ms
  • Mix of Mini Hershey Bars
  • Candy Corn

I went a bit overboard on the snacks. I also had a slice of Garlic & Tomato Pizza (well, almost 3 slices)

It was well worth it. We had a great time!

I will be the first to admit that I was VERY hungover this morning.

What I drank:

  • 1 Woodchuck Granny Smith Draft Cider
  • 1 Sea Dog Blueberry Ale
  • 1 Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier
  • 2 BIG glasses of Blueberry Wine
  • 1 shot of Malibu Bay Breeze (because shots are more fun!)
  • 1 shot of Green Goblin (which someone actually spilled all over me-haha)

Needless to say, things got silly and I started taking pictures from the floor...

My pictures started getting blurrier…

and blurrier…

Then my camera died and I fell asleep on the floor for 10 minutes.

I slept very well last night. :-)

This morning, Jeff and I joined our friends, Dana, Don, and Erica, for a much needed diner breakfast

Don’t we all look so awake and excited!?

I ordered Eggs Benedict without the hollandaise sauce

IMG_1064

I ate most of it. Some of the Canadian bacon found its way to Jeff’s plate.

Then, Jeff and I ventured to Washington Park in downtown Albany. We stopped at Uncommon Grounds for coffee first

IMG_1077

We checked out the Harvest Festival that was going on in the park and Jeff bought me a vegan chocolate chip cookie for 50 cents. Then we sat near the dog park for more than an hour and watched the dogs run around and just enjoyed the autumn weather.

We decided to stop at Panera for lunch. We ordered the You Pick Two with 1/2 of a Fuji Apple Salad for me and Chicken Noodle Soup for Jeff

And now I’m home writing a ridiculously long post for your reading pleasure!

For dinenr tonight, I’m either having Banana Oats or Leftover Pizza.

I have bunch of reading to do for school tomorrow and I fully plan on tackling google reader tonight. I miss reading everybody’s posts!

Once again, I apologize for the irregular posting. I plan to get back on track this week!

Question of the night: Do you usually eat healthily at parties or do you ignore it for the night?

I usually eat as healthy as possible but I REALLLY needed to unwind from school last night! I’m glad I made an exception! I think it’s important to do so once in a while!

Anyway, spinning and work tomorrow!!

Have a great night!!

I try to eat as healthy as possible. I don’t drink so that helps with the control. But I do indulge in one or two goodies.

Thanks for sharing your party pics and eats. I love that you are honest about how sometimes even really healthy people let go. I know I let ago a once every month or so but I try to either make it a splurgy dinner or splurgy drinks.

OMG, with that combination of alcohol, I’d be sick for days! I usually have to stick to beer all night or wine all night. Glad you had fun though – laughed at the pics from the floor! :D (been there, done that!)
